The 2016 harvest in California was smaller again due to drought conditions, but we scoured the proverbial haystack of Cabernet Sauvignon to source the best that the state had to offer — and we found it in Paso Robles. This wine shows depth and an attractive core of ripe black fruits, intermingled with savory nuances of coffee bean and dried herbs, the tannins adding structure to the finish. Serve this sublime, superbly balanced Cabernet with grilled red meats, or enjoy it on its own.
