Fresh and juicy, this Rosé, from Southern France is light and thirst-quenching, a perfect wine for a hot Summer's day. Delicate fruit flavors of strawberry and white peach dance across the palate, and culminate in a dry, crisp finish. A delight on its own, or with a plethora of dishes, including light salads and fish tacos.
Many people credit Italian immigrants for bringing Zinfandel with them to California. It actually arrived in New York, first, via Austria; in the 1820s, Zinfandel was used as a table grape and for raisins. Gold rushers brought Zinfandel cuttings wtih them to California about 25 to 30 years later, and planted them to make wine.
