2008 Quivira "Wine Creek Ranch" Dry Creek Valley Mourvèdre
One 750ml bottle
Mourvèdre has shown itself to be beautifully suited to the warm, dry Mediterranean climate of Dry Creek Valley. Fruit for this wine is grown in a Demeter-certified Biodynamic block on Quivira’s estate "Wine Creek Ranch." The purity of this compelling Mourvèdre is evident, with a gorgeous tension of dark, brooding blackberry and plum interspersed with baking spice and vanilla. A richness in the mid-palate leads to a long, lingering finish. With a firm acid and tannin structure upon release, this wine will benefit from aeration for the first 18-24 months; decant about two hours before serving.
