2009 Cass "Rockin' One" Paso Robles Red Blend
One 750ml bottle
Medium to full-bodied, this red Rhône-style blend is a versatile food pairing wine, combining the earthy characteristics of Syrah, the white pepper and eucalyptus notes of Mourvèdre, and the strawberry notes of Grenache. A minor component of Petite Sirah adds tannin and color while also lending subtle chocolate flavors. On the nose, expect aromas of cinnamon spice and clove.
The Cass Estate Vineyard, located southeast of the town of Paso Robles, exemplifies the quality of the Paso Robles region with its warm days, cool coastal breezes, and exceptional soils. Resting at 900 feet of elevation, the 160-acre vineyard is planted to 11 varieties on a large terrace above the Huer Huero River. Deposited over centuries, the diverse alluvial soils make for an expressive site that produces fruit of incredible quality.
