2007 Judd's Hill "Founder's Art Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
One 750ml bottle
Judd’s Hill’s '07 "Founder’s Art" is the second in their Artist Series, with labels featuring artwork created by founder Art Finkelstein. The nose is opulent with red and black berries, spiced apple, anise, and chai tea aromas. Once in the mouth, the wine is dense and concentrated with flavors of currant, starfruit, and plum. A fresh herb element adds complexity to the mid-palate and lingers into the finish. Decant this wine or allow it to breathe in glass for a while to experience the full expression of its aromatics.
The Otro Rancho Vineyard, located along a rugged hillside of Napa’s famed Howell Mountain, provides much of the robust and expressive fruit for this wine. This picturesque vineyard produces clusters with intense fruit flavors, concentrated aromas and a deep extraction of color. The winemaking objective is to create a harmonic balance of fruit, tannin and spice, while preserving the unique terroir-driven elements expressed in the grapes from this special vineyard.
