2006 Korbin Kameron Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
One 750ml bottle
One is immediately struck by the stunning deep purple color and wonderfully varietal aromatic intensity of this Cabernet from the ridge of Mount Veeder in the Sonoma Valley. The integrated complexity of the nose makes it difficult to pick out individual components, but there are hints of mature dark cherries, pepper, and an alluring dusty-earthiness. On the palate the structure and weight are consistent with top Cabernet, with a balance and roundness indicative of the fruit from the ridge of the Mayacamas Range. The finish lingers nicely with added hints of allspice, vanilla, and juniper berry.
