2008 Carol Shelton "Monga Zin" Cucamonga Valley Zinfandel
One 750ml bottle
This mouth-filling Zinfandel exhibits very bright pomegranate-wild cherry fruit, brown sugary-caramel oak, and fragrant Asian spices. The winery christened the "Monga Zin®" as they stumbled while saying its appellation too many times, probably after having too much of this humongous mouthful of fruit and rich milk chocolate. The wine is 100% Zinfandel from the Jose Lopez Vineyard, a dry-farmed, CCOF certified organic vineyard in the Cucamonga Valley planted in 1918.
