Dark ruby in color, Bargetto’s '08 Retro label Merlot has a nose of lovely ripe dark fruit, cinnamon and mushrooms. The palate is deep and rich with a perfect balance of fruit and tannins. Built for a piece of red meat, it will also please vegetarians who can enjoy it with a grilled portabello mushroom cap.
Bargetto’s Regan Estate Vineyard is located on a southwest slope in the Santa Cruz Mountains, overlooking the majestic Monterey Bay. This cool climate vineyard allows the grapes to develop rich and complex flavors over an exceptionally long growing season.
