2010 Cass Paso Robles Roussanne
One 750ml bottle
The Cass Estate Vineyard, located southeast of the town of Paso Robles, exemplifies the quality of the Paso Robles region with its warm days, cool coastal breezes, and exceptional soils. Resting at 900 feet of elevation, the 160-acre vineyard is planted to 11 varieties on a large terrace above the Huer Huero River. Deposited over centuries, the diverse alluvial soils make for an expressive site that produces fruit of incredible quality.
An aromatic bombshell, the '10 Roussanne is loaded with notes of candied lemon, ruby-red grapefruit, and dried tropical fruit framed by classic floral notes and a touch of honey and malt. The palate is a deft example of balance, with richness and crisp acidity that enliven the ripe flavors of honeydew melon, Tahitian lime, and orange blossom. A kick of dried pineapple and almond skin give the wine added richness and length on the finish.
