2009 Talley "Estate" Arroyo Grande Valley Pinot Noir
One 750ml bottle
This Pinot Noir has a rich bouquet layered with earthy and deep black fruit aromas of black cherry, fig, and mushroom, with subtle hints of lavender. Medium-bodied with a plush mouthfeel, it has concentrated fruit flavors balanced by a fresh acidity characteristic of the Arroyo Grande Valley.
The '09 growing season began with a cold winter which led to some frost damage. Bud break was very even and the remainder of the year was marked by mild temperatures and healthy, even vine growth. An intense heat wave occurred in early September causing many grapes to ripen simultaneously. The harvest in the Arroyo Grande Valley was slightly larger than average and the quality of the fruit was exceptional with concentrated, intense flavors.
