2008 Raymond "Reserve Selection" Napa Valley Merlot
One 750ml bottle
The grapes for this Napa Valley Merlot were sourced 31% from Raymond’s Rutherford estate vineyard and the remainder from select growers in Rutherford, St. Helena and Oakville. The estate vineyard is known for gravelly alluvial fan soils with good drainage, creating more intense flavors.
The wine opens with fragrant aromas of Earl Grey tea, blackberry pie crust and Kalamata olive with hints of blood orange, wet stone and lavender. On the palate, this wine is soft and round with silky tannins and flavors of concentrated black cherry, anise and cedar leading to a long finish.
