2008 Papapietro Perry Peters Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
One 750ml bottle
Located a few miles west of Sebastopol, on the edge of the newly expanded Russian River Valley appellation, lies Peters Vineyard, the backbone of Papapietro Perry’s production. An ideal location for Pinot Noir, this former apple orchard is blanketed by cool ocean fog in the mornings and evenings, coaxing out the grapes’ best flavors, while the hot sunny days intensify the fruit.
Medium ruby color with cherry and earthy aromas; deep, rich, red cherry flavors with complex earthy and spicy notes; touch of toasty oak. Wonderful structure and balance with a long luscious finish. Deep and complex with some years ahead of it.
