2008 Papapietro Perry Elsbree Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
One 750ml bottle
Elsbree Vineyards, located in Windsor off Arata Lane, continually produces excellent fruit. Planted on a steep knob, the vineyard has a mix of Pinot Clones on different rootstocks, giving the grapes a superior field-blend of flavors. A warmer climate vineyard for Pinot Noir, Elsbree yields fruit with plenty of layers and superb depth.
The wine is medium ruby in color with complex red cherry and spice aromas. The palate is deep and complex with red cherry, spicy and earthy notes, good structure and balance, and a long finish. It will benefit from a little time in the glass or in the cellar.
