The '08 growing season had a mind of its own. The vines started blooming late, but ended up ripening early. Because of the compressed season, hard work was necessary to tend the vines properly. Nonetheless, Amavi was thrilled with the outcome. The vintage displays supple fruit flavors perfectly balanced with crisp acidity.

Remarkable aromas of violets and ripe berries mingle with the light essence of soil and brambles. Rich flavors of ripe dark fruits - raspberries, blueberries and cranberries - embrace subtle hints of minerality and citrus. Even in its youth, this wine flaunted an intriguing combination of balance, sophistication and power.
