2007 Rocca Grigsby Vineyard Yountville Syrah
One 750ml bottle
The '07 Grigsby Vineyard Syrah is a perfect example of the exceptional concentration, balance, and seamlessness of this special growing season. The wine opens with complex, elegant aromas that range from sweet dark cherries and wild plums to rich notes of warm spices and freshly ground black pepper, with exotic hints of lavender and rock dust. This Syrah's ripe, plush approach is packed with sweet red and black fruit flavors that sail on through the wine's broad mid-palate, picking up a lovely spiciness along the way. From start to finish the wine displays an impeccably balanced richness, and leaves the palate coated with luscious Syrah fruit and the remarkably soft, polished tannins that are the hallmark of the Rocca Family Vineyards wines.
