2008 Glen Carlou "Grand Classique" Paarl Red Blend
One 750ml bottle
Glen Carlou’s worldwide reputation for quality wines has been built on the mission of delivering handcrafted wines reflecting their distinctive terroir in Paarl, South Africa. Over the past decades, their wines have harvested a rich bounty of accolades, including this classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
The "Grand Classique" is ink purple in color with some dark red tones. It boasts aromas of mocha, cedar, toasty oak and spice with lingering rich fruit expression. Harmonious layers of blackberry, blackcurrant with some stewed fruits and cherry greet you on the palate and fully resolved and mature tannins carry through to a long finish of brambles, coffee and cocoa powder.
