2007 Vina Robles "Signature" Estate Cuvée Paso Robles Red Blend
One 750ml bottle
The "Signature" Estate Cuvée from Vina Robles is a deep, dark and earthy blend of Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah. It's intense, rich and full-bodied with layers of flavors - blackberries, hints of cedar, cinnamon and black currant accents. The ripe, silky tannins provide a smooth, balanced finish.
These two lesser known grapes flourish in the Paso Robles climate, and are both known for their intense color and generous amount of ageworthy tannins. The Petit Verdot grapes are grown in high density blocks in the microclimates of the Huerhuero Vineyard, where it produces wines with deep color, rich flavor and good tannin structure. The Petite Sirah is sourced from Creston Valley Vineyard, located at 1,600 feet in elevation. This estate vineyard is situated in eastern Paso Robles and is planted on limestone soils, which provide an earthy character to the wine.
This vintage reflects the 5th anniversary of this limited-production Estate Cuvée. The '07 harvest produced perfectly ripe Petit Verdot grapes that were intense and rich, resulting in a higher percentage of Petit Verdot than normal in the blend.
