2009 Trentadue Russian River Valley Viognier
One 750ml bottle
This 2009 Viognier was harvested on October 10th, 2010. The grapes were pressed whole clusters and cold fermented in stainless steel tank for about twenty days to dryness. After few months in Stainless Steel tank the wine was aged for about four months in neutral FO barrels.
No malolactic fermentation was induced during the aging. The first impression on the nose is of ripe white peaches, Anjou pears and wild flowers supported by a very faint aroma of oak. The wine is round and fleshy in the mouth with relatively low acidity, with a taste of ripe stone fruit, hints of honey and slight minerality. The finish is long and juicy and slightly firm at the end.
