Manchester Ridge Vineyard is perched at 2000 feet elevation with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Here, lots of Old Wente, Dijon 76 and Dijon 809 clones benefit from long hang time and each contribute unique character to the final blend. Clone 76 gives bright, crisp acidity and the Old Wente offers pleasing fruitiness and weight to the palate. The Dijon 809 is the signature of the wine, providing perfumed aromatics and intense floral and tropical fruit.

Effusive aromas of gardenia, honeydew, white peach and lemon balm on the nose. Displaying pineapple, papaya and guava with time in the glass. A prick of acidity on the entry leads to green apple freshness on the palate, and a touch of creaminess on the late palate balances this multi-layered wine. This is surely a Chardonnay for the skeptics.
