2009 Laetitia Estate Arroyo Grande Valley Pinot Noir
One 750ml bottle
Planted on cool benchlands overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Laetitia’s vineyard has low-yielding, rocky volcanic and limestone soils that produce incredibly concentrated fruit. This medium-bodied Pinot Noir is a prime example of the exceptional fruit harvested from the 2009 growing season. The grapes were healthy and the flavors great, with slightly higher acidity due to cool weather, but fruit intensity derived from an Indian summer which kicked in around harvest.
A perfumed nose of delicate violet and sweet cassis segue into wild cherry and blood orange peel. Firm acidity supported by ripe tannic structure offer a Pinot Noir promising a future of complexity.
