2007 Michel-Schlumberger "Le Fou" Dry Creek Valley Pinot Noir
One 750ml bottle
Vintage 2007 was a great vintage all around. Since the Pinot Noir is the first red from the Estate that is released each year, you have an opportunity to guyage that vintage upon its release. Michel-Schlumberger is happy with this being the representative of the vintage. It speaks highly of the reds from 2007.
Notes from the Winemaker:
"Our Pinot Noir is grown on the west side side of our estate in eastern facing blocks. Javier Acevedo Sr., our Vineyard Manager and the man who first planted this Pinot Noir 15 years ago expertly manages our canopy allowing for the production of Dry Creek Valley’s only Pinot Noir. You simply are not supposed to grow a cool weather grape like this in a hot weather appellation but he does so skillfully. The aromatics inspire you and the balance truly shows in this elegant wine." - Winemaker Mike Brunson
