2008 Whitehall Lane Carneros Pinot Noir
One 750ml bottle
The 2008 growing season provided a small but intense crop. A cold spring decreased the number of grape clusters; however, the delicate flavors developed beautifully through the summer months. The grapes were harvested at perfection between September 3rd and September 15th from the Las Brisas Vineyard and the Sangiacomo Vineyard.
The wine was fermented as five small lots, including open bin fermentation with manual punch downs. Each lot was aged separately in Burgundian oak barrels for 11 months.
This Pinot Noir is a joy to drink. It smells great and tastes even better with supple flavors of ripe cherry, strawberry and toasty oak. Balanced and smooth as Pinot should be, it works well with a wide range of cuisine or as a sipper.
