2008 Talley Rincon Vineyard Arroyo Grande Valley Chardonnay

750ml wine bottle 750ml wine bottle

The 2008 growing season began auspiciously with more than 20 inches of rain. Unfortunately, just about all of it fell before March 1. A windy spring with late frost was followed by a heat wave in June. The chardonnay harvest began in the youngest vines the first week of September. Chardonnay yields were small, yet the flavors were very concentrated.

The 2008 Rincon Vineyard Chardonnay features complex aromas of lemon peel, fresh coconut, and minerals with hints of anise. It displays excellent weight on the palate with distinct flavors of citrus and creamy custard that are balanced by a bright acidity.
