2008 Amista Morningsong Vineyards Dry Creek Valley Chardonnay
One 750ml bottle
Amista continues to make a crisp, classic chardonnay — no oak, no butter. Like the '05 Chardonnay (which was awarded 91 points by the Wine Enthusiast) this '08 vintage again shows crisp citrus and stone fruit flavors with a mineral finish. It was fermented and aged in neutral oak barrels (used for several vintages). The fermentation and aging style prevents the formation of di-acetyl, resulting in a clean, crisp, classic Chardonnay with no oak aroma or taste, and no "butter."
