Grgich Hills Estate, located in the heart of Napa Valley, was founded in 1977 by Miljenko “Mike” Grgich and Austin Hills of the Hills Bros. coffee family after Mike’s 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay won the now-famous Paris Tasting, beating the best wines of France. In honor of Mike Grgich’s contributions to the wine industry, he was inducted into the Vintner Hall of Fame in 2008.

Today, the Grgich Hills Estate winery remains family-owned and operated, practicing the art of winemaking by crafting food-friendly wines known for their consistency, quality, and longevity. Great wines start in the vineyard, which is why Grgich Hills vineyards are certified organic and Biodynamic®. By using only estate-grown grapes we create wines with great balance and finesse.
