Winery Details

Duckhorn's traditionally designed Estate House is open for retail sales daily from 10am to 4pm. You can enjoy the winery's waterfowl art collection, stroll in the beautiful gardens, view their unique temperature-controlled above ground cellar, and taste their wines.  
 
Guests are invited to experience their wines in a unique, personalized fashion with seated tastings and individualized attention from their wine educators. They offer two options for wine tasting experiences: 
 
Limited Tasting - For those guests who wish to experience wines that are only available on-site at the winery, this tasting experience is sure to please. Featuring five of their limited production and/or Estate wines presented side-by-side, this wine tasting experience will delight the senses. 
 
Portfolio Tasting - For the guest who wishes to try wines that are available at restaurant or retail locations, this wine tasting experience features four current release wines from their Napa Valley portfolio. 

• Founders: Dan and Margaret Duckhorn founded the winery in 1976 focusing initially on the production of Merlot.
• Winemaker: Executive Winemaker Bill Nancarrow was raised in Hawkes Bay, the oldest winegrowing region in New Zealand.
• Handcrafted: Nancarrow applies an artisan’s approach to winemaking, blending from almost 200 distinctive lots using taste and instinct, not formula.
• Cellaring: Duckhorn’s red wines are ready to drink when released, but they can also mature in the bottle from short- and long-term cellaring.
