Three Sticks is a boutique, family owned winery committed to creating small–lot, artisanal wines from exceptional vineyard sites in Sonoma County. One such site is their famed estate vineyard, Durell Vineyard, which bisects the Sonoma Coast, Sonoma Valley and Carneros appellations. With the Pacific Ocean 30 miles west, the northern stretches of San Francisco Bay just ten miles south, and a 2,400 foot mountain range immediately north, Three Sticks is blessed with a unique configuration of land to produce wines of world-class quality.

  • Durell: Three Sticks ‘home’ vineyard, Durell consistently produces wines of great depth and complexity. Over twenty five wines from Durell have been given a rating of 92+ including wines from Kistler, Patz & Hall and Chateau St. Jean.
  • Owner: An investor in many wine ventures over the past 20 years – including Chateau St. Jean, Kistler Vineyards and Kosta Browne – Bill Price founded Three Sticks in 2002 in his quest to create world class wines from his Durell Vineyard.
  • Winemaker: Winemaker Don Van Staaveren, has a winemaking pedigree that includes helping to create Chateau St. Jean’s 1996 Cinq Cépages, Wine Spectator’s ‘No. 1 Wine in the World’ in 1999.
