Mannina Cellars is a small, family run winery specializing in producing small lots of premium wine. Situated in the heart of the spectacular Walla Walla Valley, Mannina takes advantage of one of Washington’s best “terroirs.” Their hands off approach yields wine that is fruit forward, expressive and shows its sense of place.
Winemaker Don Redman's approach to winemaking is to create a pristine environment in which the fruit can make the journey from grapes to wine with as little outside impact as possible, resulting in wines that are as nearly perfect a reflection of the place that spawned them as possible.
- Name: Mannina Cellars was named after the maternal grandmother of the winemaker, an immigrant from Italy.
- Engineer: Don Redman originally moved to the Walla Walla Valley to work as an Environmental Engineer with Boise Cascade, but eventually discovered his talent for winemaking.
- Chemistry: Redman’s background in chemistry drives him to strive for purity in every phase of the winemaking process.
