“Excellence is the focal point of everything we do. If my name is associated with something, I want to make it as great as possible.” -Vintner Mary Rocca
Established in 1999 in the heart of Napa Valley's Yountville appellation, Rocca Family Vineyards utilizes holistic farming practices to make wines that are in natural balance with their environment. They believe that 90% percent of winemaking is done in the vineyards, and winemaker Paul Colantuoni strives to express their estate-vineyard holdings in each bottle. He uses long, slow fermentations, frequent punchdowns, gentle pressing and extended barrel aging. All of the Rocca wines are bottled without fining or filtration to express all the rich varietal character of the fruit.
- History: Rocca’s tasting salon has history – it was built by General Vallejo for his daughter.
- Market: Mary Rocca also owns the popular Palace Market in Point Reyes on the Sonoma Coast.
- Organic: The Rocca family farms their 30 acres of vineyards organically and sustainably.
