A Taste Adventure ... Tour of Mendocino
Taste the Best Wines From Mendocino
Six 50ml (1.7 oz.) mini bottles
Vines were first planted in Mendocino County right after the California Gold Rush when immigrant farmers, who failed to find fortune, turned to agriculture as a way of life in their new home. Flatter lands on the river plains were saved for food crops, but winegrowers found plenty of space on the more rugged hillsides and sun-exposed ridge tops. Now, California’s northernmost wine region is world famous for its “green” viticulture practices, its climatic diversity, and the complexity of the wines. Celebrate the exciting range of wine grown in Mendocino County with six stunning samples- all from different wineries made from different varietals or blends.
Start your tasting with two white wines (don't forget to chill them first!) Mendocino County’s cool climate has ensured the perfect acidity in both the crisp and tropical Paul Dolan Sauvignon Blanc and the rich and harmonious WindRacer Chardonnay. Ease your way into the reds with the bright red fruit and tobacco of the superb La Follette Pinot Noir. Then dive into the big bold reds with the vibrant and spicy Carol Shelton Zinfandel, the complex and brawny Artezin Petite Sirah, and the elegantly exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon dominated Seabiscuit Red Blend.
